Singing
Our Faith

An inviting journey through Episcopal worship, music, and the faith we voice together.

By George Ackerman-Behr

01 / THE INVITATION

We do not simply attend worship.
We are formed by it.

Singing Our Faith invites readers more deeply into the signs, symbols, music, and mysteries of the liturgy—and into the life of the sacramental community gathered around font, Word, and table.

Through three connected reflections, prayers, musical insights, and moments from a life in church music, the book welcomes curious newcomers and gives established congregations a fresh way to speak about their common prayer.

01

Worship with understanding

A warm invitation into the shape, language, and meaning of Episcopal worship.

02

Music with purpose

Reflections that help congregations hear how hymnody, psalmody, and liturgy form our faith.

03

Formation for everyone

Written for newcomers, lifelong Episcopalians, parish groups, and those who lead them.

The liturgy becomes our own when we understand the story it is telling—and find our voice within it.

— from the spirit of Singing Our Faith
